China may not be option for NBA players

According to the AP, the China basketball association will not be allowing NBA players who are under contract to play in their league.

That means players like Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce, or Dwight Howard wont be playing in China while the league figures out its lockout situation…The CBA also says that any NBA free agent choosing to play in China must also commit to one full season in the CBA and they will not be granted an out clause if the NBA comes back for next season.

While leagues in Europe are most likely a better option for NBA players anyway, it still has to sting that they won’t be able to consider China an option.
