Derrick Mason to sign with Jets

Former Baltimore wide receiver Derrick Mason has decided to sign with the New York Jets.  Terms of the deal have not be disclosed.

Mason will give the Jets a little more depth at receiver.  Mason is considered on of the best route running receivers in football and although way past his prime he can still be a great third down receiver as he seems to have a knack for getting open.

According to Adam Schefter Mason is happy to rejoin Rex Ryan.

After deciding to join the Jets, WR Derrick Mason said: “I’m looking forward to working under Rex and rejoining some familiar faces.”
