Pats to work-out Tommie Harris

The Patriots are expected to work-out defensive tackle Tommie Harris tomorrow, The Boston Herald’s Ian Rapoport has reported.

The 6’3 295 lbs Harris is a three-time pro-bowler and twice was named an AP all-pro.  The 28 year old was released by the Bears this February as part of a move to save cap space.

New England has been practicing more in the 4-3 this training camp, and Harris would give them added depth at DT if New England moved to that scheme.  But he also could play at DE if the Pats stay in their more familiar 3-4, as he is about the same size as recently released Ty Warren (6’5 300 lbs); Warren played DT in college before moving to DE.
