Jets falling behind Patriots? Bring in Nnamdi Asomugha…

With Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth joining a team that was already very good (14-2) and New York only signing some of its own players, it seems as though the popular thought is that the New England Patriots are pulling further ahead of the Jets. Who can stop Ochocinco, Wes Welker, Deon Branch, and those young tight ends.  I say wait, wait till this weekend, when the Jets sign Nnamdi Asomugha.

To me, it’s not a matter of if the Jets sign Asomugha, its when.  They need him and he needs them.  With Asomugha the Jets would have the two best corners in the game on the same team, fully capable of stopping Brady and company every step of the way.  Imagine how creative Rex Ryan can get with blitzes if he has the power of isolation on both of a teams best receivers. It wouldn’t even be fair…

If I’m Rex Ryan, find a way to sign Nnamdi Asomugha.
